We didn’t start this business because we wanted to “get into fitness.”

When the pandemic hit, Emily felt a clear pull: it was time to stop dreaming and start doing. With a lifelong passion for health and wellness (and a psychology degree that gave her an edge in understanding what actually drives human behavior), she got certified and began working alongside Joel. What started as a leap of faith quickly turned into a mission that lit us both on fire.
We discovered that our skill sets didn’t just complement each other, they amplified the results we could get for our clients.
Joel’s background in biomechanics, strength training, and injury rehab (including his own spinal fusion recovery) gave Trireme a technical edge. Emily’s high-energy, deeply empathetic, psychology-informed coaching gave us the human one. Together, we’ve built something more than a fitness business. We’ve built a space where high-performers can come to feel seen, heard, and radically supported.
